Successful shipping of temperature controlled products depends on taking many variables into account: storage, handling, picking and packing, logistics, and last-mile-delivery. During all of these phases, boxes and products are exposed to a wide range of temperatures, and Ranpak standard solutions make your packaging choices simple and effective.

Step 1:
Choose the box size

To help you choose, Ranpak has created a range of standard boxes for chilled and frozen products of 9, 24 and 36 liters. Around 90% of all customer demands can be solved with these standard solutions, and our specialists offer you full support to make the right choices.

Step 2:
Choose the performance level

By varying the number of paper layers AND the quantity of PCM (Phase Change Material), you can create low-, medium-, and high-performance solutions for chilled and frozen products. For example, a medium performance level reaches threshold temperature after 24 to 48 hours.

Low-performance

Often used for products stored and transported at ambient temperatures, and where temperature requirements are not too strict.

Medium-performance

Most suitable for chilled products requiring threshold times up to 24-36 hours.

High-performance

The solution for frozen/deep-frozen packages, and for threshold times up to
48 hours.
